From The Next Day, ‘I’d Rather Be High’ was a single that was also used by Louis Vuitton in a series of short adverts, or a split up short film ‘L’invitation au Voyage’. I don’t think it was ever released as a complete item, which was a real shame.

I took those piece of footage and remixed them with the original track. I also mixed in Sam Mendes’ ‘Jarhead’ because of the mention of shooting, sand, etc. I liked the idea of a vision coming to a soldier, of #Venice, #Bowie
