Seven municipalities in #Latvia will participate in the Save Our Sea (SOS) #campaign for a cleaner #BalticSea. The municipalities of #Adazi, #Jurmala, #Liepaja, #Riga, #Talsi, #Valmiera, and #Ventspils have applied to take part in the campaign.

The #cargo turnover of #Latvia's sea #ports totalled 3.4mn tonnes in H1/2023, which was down 14.2% over a year. The Freeport of #Riga handled 9.6mn tonnes of #freight, followed by the Freeport of #Ventspils with 5.7mn tonnes and the Port of #Liepaja with 3.6mn tonnes.

The finals of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival's choir competition took place on 1 July 2023. The winners were youth choir Kamer, #Ventspils Culture Centre's Venda women's choir, #Rezekne's Graidi men's choir, and #Riga Latvian Society's eReLBe senior choir.
