Not even five o’clock, said the red digits that glowed from two feet away. She stepped forward to push her chilly, wet nose into my face, as if to say “Your bladder is full, human.” Satisfied, she stretch-walked to the foot of the bed, where she curled into her favourite sleeping spot.
