Republicans may have a super majority in the state legislature but they can never take away our spirit. Thanks to the young people and to the #tennesseethree people are paying attention and saying enough is enough it is time for meaningful gun reform. The safer communities act was a minor step and was the 1st piece of legislation to be passed in 3 decades but it isn't enough. We need national red flag laws we need expanded background checks we need a ban on assault weapons. Those are the real solutions that will make our kids safer not putting more guns on the streets not arming teachers not arming grocery stores banks with armed guards. Those will only make the problem worse 5 people died in a shooting in Louisville #Kentucky and the state Bank had armed guards and 5 people died it wasn't enough to stop an AR-15. AR-15s can cause significant damage to the human body even if you survive the odds of having permanent damage are near 100% if shot in the wrong place your odds of surviving slim to none. Regular hand guns don't do as much damage as assault weapons and assault weapons shouldn't even be in the hands of criminals or in the streets. Want gun reform then vote blue all the way down become an activist attend your town hall call your representatives even if they don't answer the phone leave them a message telling them how you feel and what you want to see done. #gunreformnow #VoteBlueToSaveOurKids

We got it done once and we need to get it done again. It isn't against the constitution to ban assault weapons we did it in 90s and shootings went down. The only reason why it hasn't happened is because Republicans want to kill everyone off who stands in their way and we are in their way which means they won't stop til everyone of us is dead. 2nd Amendment freaks want us to think we gotten far enough on gun legislation when we didn't go far enough. Anyone who says we gone far enough on gun legislation we say HOW DARE YOU! and we will kick your asses and make sure you don't come into power next year. Unfortunately Republicans will stop at nothing to make sure everything we know is gone they willing to act like children and be tatletales and abuse the courts to get their way and we need to say enough is enough and make sure we never lose the senate the house or the presidency ever again no matter how long it takes even if it takes a decade or 2.
