wondering when the boycotters, abstainers, and ballot strikers are going to see representation in the halls of government power..

in québec* election of 2022 33.85% of the _registered_ (presumably there are others allowed to vote who just weren't registered) electors (and there are definitely others living in the territory claimed by the state of Québec who are not allowed to vote) abstained and 1.35% of those ballots that were cast were rejected (ie. voter wrote on the ballot "fuck the government" or whatever)...

In our representative democracies when will those against (or not for any of) these candidates and parties have their preferences reflected?
