Bought lottery tickets. My hope is that if I win I'll be able to rest properly instead of failing to catch up to all the things I'm supposed to do.

A monastery (EO) that I frequently visited in the recent past, just put out a newsletter regarding a lecture they had on Covid. Long story short, they summed it up as a shame we all stayed away from each other for awhile, how it wasn't as bad as we all originally thought (??!!!!), and labeled the warnings of doctors, epidemiologists and scientists as "disinformation".

This email goes out to hundreds of people, including those who have suffered the loss of people to the disease, those who are struggling with long Covid, and people like myself, who are high risk and still taking all the original precautions.

This doesn't help anyone.

I’m also growing a little #weary of posts (usually boosted) from people telling me how I should be using #Mastodon. All the “this is not #Twitter!” stuff.

As with any #SocialMedia platform, I think people should use it how they see fit. Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with the increased use of #hashtags and #AltText on images, that’s pretty much where it ends.

If I see something that makes me pause, I will ⭐️ it. If it really grabs me I will #boost it. There are no other #rules to this for me.
