Fatih Birol, head of the International Energy Agency, says IEA sees Russia's war in Ukraine boosting transition to clean energy, thanks to US IRA, RePowerEU, similar big investments in China, Japan, India. Energy security, climate policy commitments and industrial policy combine for historic turning point energy policy, but still not enough. To reach 1.5C clean energy investments must increase fivefold, to ratio of 1 fossil : 8 clean. #WEO2022
