Happy to be volunteering for the #WPDiversity speaker diversity development workshop today! Love the work this group is doing.
What participants of the last #WPDiversity workshop said:
❝ I liked learning about the myths about speaking and I gained more confidence in becoming a speaker.”
❝ The workshop boosts confidence through simple tips. It’s wonderful and I now have an increase in confidence to speak to large audiences!”
Our newest #WPDiversity volunteer @martatorredev jumped in feet first with her own WPDiversity initiatives for Spain and wrote a glowing blog post about our work and working with us! 🤩
“Jill has been quite a discovery!” <3 <3

A question for you: Has anyone given you unprompted public positive feedback? If yes, how did it feel? <3

Thank you for your volunteer help at the #WPDiversity workshop today, @HariShanker, @volkswagenchick, @oneal, and Hitha
This great technique was shared by someone in the #WPDiversity workshop today:
Imposter Syndrome could be a super-power. You work extra hard to make sure that you do well and that you prepare. You put your best foot forward, and improves your chances of success.
Update: The first person sent in 2 applications, and another person applied to speak shortly after the #WPDiversity speaker workshop.
So that makes 3 applications from 2 applicants within less than an hour of the workshop closing! 🤩

(Thank you for that update, @HariShanker!)
What an amazing #WPDiversity speaker workshop in Asia-Pacific just now! Lively group. Great topics.
One person applied to speak at WordCamp Kerala *during* the workshop! 🤩
And 7 people joined the diverse-speaker-support Slack channel during or immediately after the workshop!
For the first time: We sold out on a #WPDiversity workshop!
All 50 spots Jan 28 were claimed.
I just opened up more tickets, so if you couldn't get one, try again. :)
Thanks @HariShanker and @AveSantana for all your hard work getting the word out. <3
I haven't been getting to bed at a decent hour at all this week. But that's ok: I'm up late tomorrow night to give a #WPDiversity workshop in APAC... so I can tell myself that the late nights have been intentional. 😂
I'm currently doing a little "our impact in WordPress since #WPDiversity began" math.
People in over 40 countries have taken our workshops! ! 🎉🌐🎉🌐
At a first quick glance, I think we've reached all of the continents. Well, all the ones that have countries. Silly Antarctica.
It is filling me with such joy to see how happy people are to have earned Community Contributor badges for their #WPDiversity contributions, and how eager other group members are to earn them too. :) <3
