I never appreciated until I had it how nice it is to live on an activated street. My husband is out of town and the house felt a bit quiet, so I ate lunch on the front porch and enjoyed some lite #PeopleWatching and the neighborhood vibes.
It feels good to be in proximity to a community. If loneliness is an epidemic in this country, how much could be addressed by simple #WalkableStreets?

Walking around Richmond during Marathon weekend was also delightful most of the time with the street closures meaning most roads were quiet (or so backed up there wasn’t much road noise). That said, it was also pretty hard to get ignore just how much parking there is in downtown Richmond
