Acorn Woodpeckers
I came home to a crew of 4 or 5 Acorn Woodpeckers at the top of my palm tree. They were a pretty raucous group, alternately pecking for bugs in the cracks of the tree trunk and jousting with each other.
They let me take a few photos and then they flew off.

I stopped part way out and tapped out a quick message to a friend I hadn't talked with in a while and ended up coming out on a new trail.
