I’m new here, so should probably provide a short #intro . I am a Professional Civil #engineer and Project Manager for an engineering consulting firm in Halifax NS, but mostly use my social media accounts to distribute my #photography (ships, the Navy, architecture, and anything else that catches my fancy) and to boost my side gig writing for #WarshipsIFR magazine. While interviewing Captain Sheldon Gillis onboard #HMCSMargaretBrooke for #WarshipsIFR, he says to me “There is a bird on your head.” Sure enough, this red-breasted nuthatch was likely tired during migration and thought my hat looked like a good spot for a rest. Amazing to see such a small bird out at sea and far from land. Thanks to Catherine Pross and James Hirtle for the bird ID.
