#WashingtonPost is out there taking an early lead for Worst Take on the #Georgia #indictment. TFG tried to overturn the election. In doing so he engaged in widespread criminal conduct across many states. I'm pretty sure you can't "force majeure" your way out of prosecution by simply committing too many crimes.

I have a lot of opinions on the #WashingtonPost essay on #Gender and #Masculinity. (I'm happy to go into it more if there is interest here. But the author really tips her hand toward the end:

"What critics miss is that if there were nothing valid at the core of these constructs, they wouldn’t command this sort of popularity. "

Cool, now do antisemitism, homophobia, hell, even "election integrity". Saying that just because there's stereotypes they have validity is incredibly dangerous.

Interesting read by the #WashingtonPost on the kinds of websites that figure in the training data of some #LanguageModels (Facebook's LLaMA or Google's T5).

Surprised to see that the dataset also contains scraped information on US voter registration databases. Surely doesn't seem like a great idea, even if the data is public.

Someone at the WaPo needs to fix this…

My information is certainly not as relevant than that one of #journalists from #NewYorkTimes #WashingtonPost #CNN that were suspended today on twitter by #Musk. But I am quite surpised that the link I pinned to my twitter account some while ago refering academic colleagues to my new #fediscience account now triggers warning message "this link may be unsafe".

Maybe #scholarly information is not considered as safe enough for #FreeSpeech or maybe #Science is just far too #woke for #Elon 🤔
