"My" #watchy watchface somehow has only filled 61% of the watchy's flash. I think I need to search for more watch faces to add soon.
Oh my gosh do I get obsessive, just spent the afternoon tinkering with a #watchy #watchface fork on #github. Added two new watch faces that were stuck behind old broken repo's and fixed a few others. Next I'm going to convert all the US dates into normal person standard and maybe move the project to gitlab.
Honestly have been enjoying my #watchy more than my #pinetime or #samsungwatch. Great being able to read the face in low light without a back light. The community is also vibrant. Might be big, but it packs a punch.

Been working on a custom watch face for my Watchy based on a *nix-style shell. I want the commands to be accurate given the output shown. The current working name for the watch face is Watchy Shell. Planning to make the code public soon!
By the way, I'm using the Fira Code font, which you may want to check out if you write code as it has some cool features.

I'm looking to replace my #Pebble Time with something open source. I really miss the ability to tinker that I had on my #PineTime which sadly stopped working. Currently looking at both #sqfmi's #Watchy or a #banglejs2, both both seem to come with some compromises. I live in France/Belgium, so it would need to be rain-proof... would also love to text with my voice, but I don't think either of these have a mic. Are there any other #smartwatch projects out there with the right hardware for this?

Just assembled my Watchy! I'm loving the e-paper look. I haven't gotten to configuring and customizing it yet, so here's a picture of the default watch face.
Look at what just arrived in the mail! It's a fully open source (hardware and software) e-paper watch! Looking forward to putting it together this week.
Finally got the #Watchy watch app compiling in arduino. So here's what 12 o'clock looks like.

I gave up my #iPhone and #AppleWatch. Checking out @KaiOStech@twitter.com on @nokia@twitter.com and dabbling with @sqfmi@twitter.com's #watchy. Maybe building my own phone is next.
One feature I like about this #Watchy firmware is being able to set the "sleep" time. At 1 AM it's like, the exact time no longer matters. GO THE F TO BED! :-D
#Watchy battery life update. I got the low battery watchface yesterday afternoon but it kept telling the time until after midnight. So that makes the total run time about 6 days. Not too shabby!
#Watchy owners, this is probably the firmware you want to run on your watch. Eight different watchfaces and a number of settings configurable in the menu.
totally up to you.
For me, it was the @PINE64 #PineTime.
I don't like big watches nor do I like using Chrome for app management so the Espruino #BangleJS wasn't for me. I also found it to be too buggy.
The Squarofumi (SQFMI) #Watchy is okay but it's too bulky and the aesthetic isn't what I'm looking for in a daily driver.

Watchy is a open-source watch made with the ESP32 chip. It does not have much functions as health tracker, though, so it's more of a small computer on your wrist: https://watchy.sqfmi.com/ #esp32 #watchy #foss #watch
