When I finished this piece it dawned on me that it's quite dark. Honestly I made this one in auto pilot a bit letting one idea lead to the next.

I enjoy mixing light and dark things together. Bright colours in horror.

I am strangely embarrassed to share this one as it's directly after such a lovely art piece. I am still struggling with proportions and perspective but I make up for it with a lively use of colour.

I always find after I make something I'm really proud of the following art piece has far too much pressure on it to be equally or more successful or satisfying.

These days I think art is about quantity. The more you make, the more gold you find..

Didn't mean to go missing for so long! Been taking a break from social for a bit, started learning how to draw and paint using watercolours, line and wash mostly.

But it has been rewarding and I'm feeling more creatively engaged. Trying not to put too much pressure on this new thing, as I want it to last! (I'm pretty sure it's not just another ADHD passing obsession).

Did an online course by Becky Cao for four sessions in January and learnt a lot, would recommend.

Her YouTube channel is wonderful too, I love watching her go out on location drawing and painting landscapes, cafes, and food in her journal.
