Whoa. I actually did it, and I have to admit I'm a tiny little bit proud of this one.

An all-new sound bank for the original #Wavestation; with 50 all-new performances using 35 all-new patches incorporating 30 all-new wave sequences, all revolving around a central theme.

I'm wondering… have any wavestation owners arrived here in the meantime? I'd be glad to share (in exchange for some feedback ;))

Spent the last few days programming new sounds for my trusty old #Wavestation A/D… here's a quick impro using one of them.
Just one single patch, no external effects or processing whatsoever. Not too shabby for a 30 year old digital #synth, I think 😊

At last, I got my beloved Korg #Wavestation A/D back with a beautiful, shiny, readable display replacement 😍

So, I guess today is going to be sound programming day...

Although many people will not know who Dave Smith was, most of them will have heard his instruments and his impact on modern music production at some point in their lives.

In fact, one of Dave Smith's instruments was the first musical instrument I bought with money earned entirely on my own – a Korg #Wavestation. That was 32 years ago.

@openmastering I'm also using @LibraZiK with kind of old PCs (~10 years old) with SSD hard-drives, a scarlett 2i2 or sometimes a crappy internal audio interface. The software that I'm mostly using are #Ardour, #Lmms, #Hydrogen, some #lv2 or free proprietary #vst plugins (sorry). I also have some vintage gears (#D50, #D20 #U220, #Wavestation, #Proteus, #Electribe es1 mk2) and some analog one (#Microbrute, #Neutron).
