Cruciverbalist Nuala Considine died in 2018. Possibly the most prolific crossword setter of all time, you may have done her crosswords (Excalibur, the Toughie) and never heard of her. When she had to give up her Aer Lingus job on marriage to pilot Brian, they moved to London and Nuala's long career in crosswords began. She compiled until weeks before her death aged 90.

Nell Ryan was born in 1881. Cumann na mBan organiser and one of 77 women arrested after 1916 Rising. Jailed and went on hunger strike in Civil War. First woman elected to Wexford County Council. She was "friend and confidant of practically every leader in the Republican movement"
One of the famous Ryan family of Tomcoole, Nell was the only one of her siblings with no Wikipedia page, so we fixed that

Correction: it's been pointed out that Marcella would have been too young to be a member of the Ladies Land League, which dissolved in 1882. The info was taken from her Wikipedia page, which I've now updated as there was no citation attached to Ladies Land League claim.

To celebrate we've created the first of our Wikipedia articles:

Pearl Phelan aka Sr Ignatius aka Aunt Pearl (1921-2010) was a pioneer of hospice care in Ireland. Received People of the Year Award in 1987. She was featured in Her Keys to the City but had no Wiki article - so we fixed that!
