First day back at the gym in 6 weeks. Started out with 45deg sandbag lunges and immediately my left hamstring just upped and fucked off. It decided to complain for the rest of the workout instead of just going through the motions. Ah well, that's the first one done anyway.

So #WeHackHealth crew, went to the gym today. It was very tough. 40s single limb, 20s both limbs on all the legs and all the arms/shoulders. Ouch is the word of the day!
It's worth noting that between the race on Sunday and the workout on Tuesday, my body still isn't right.
Right, today they had us do a lot of the same movements but at 50% of our previous figures. The goal was 50 reps per movement in a 2min window.
Dear reader, I did not make the goal. On average I think I got 25 reps. But christ are my shoulders shot.

I tried to run today, that was a mistake, my legs cramped into a knot harder than steel.
My body has betrayed me and I will need to ease back into it.

I went back for another class today. It was tough. Like, my core got hammered while we were working legs.
Bar over head reverse lunges are the devil. Also, 1 min of sumo squatting 50kg is beyond me.
Then the vindictive bollix goes and adds on a surprise core workout! I nearly lost my lunch.
Thoroughly enjoyable, I'm glad to be back, and I'm proud I'm going twice a week. Hopefully I'll keep it up, it's only an hour.

Alright, so it seems like maybe once been slacking off on this #WeHackHealth movement. Baby Swamptin can only be a successful excuse for so long. Mrs Swamptin has been cleared to go back to the gym, so I think it's time I find a training solution nearby that will work.
There are options at least. And there is at least one that is comparably similar in cost at least to where I was going. So I'll try there.

70kg CONQUERED.
I got to the point where I can indeed push 70kg for 3 sets of 8 reps. The last push was horrible, but I made it.
Now to get more comfortable with that weight.
Rest times are a pain, though. I have to tell myself to wait at least twice between sets. But after I rest for 2-3 minutes, it suddenly isn't that difficult.
