Dutch quartet #PipBlom delivered a joyously jangly set of #indie #rock tonight, wrapping up their UK tour with an Independent Venue Week #gig at #Portsmouth's #WedgewoodRooms.

With a setlist hand-picked by their tour manager (also van driver & merch guy) this was a foot-tappingly fun showcase, a jaunt through their back catalogue and new #album. A lovely way to start the week, just wonderful.

@nstop I had a rummage and dug this up, my #ticket for #HotHotHeat's 2003 gig at #Portsmouth's #WedgewoodRooms.

If memory serves they played a good set, minus In Cairo, and I got Steve Bays' signature after too. Good support act as well.. #FranzFerdinamd

@tim My local (& favourite) #venue, #Portsmouth's #WedgewoodRooms, has long decorated its walls with #gig #posters; outside, in the foyer, on the venue walls & uses old posters to decorate its bar

I saw #Danish band #Mew play there in 2005, with the gig poster showing up on the bar wall some time later. Sad but true I look for it every time, its just about hanging in there
