This is the first yarn I ever bought for myself.

The first thing I knit was a pair of socks in this colourful acrylic yarn. I knew less about fibre choices! I stayed up until 3am knitting the cuff of a sock until I had it right.

Last night, ignoring all of the exciting projects I have on various needles, spindles and sewing tables, I decided to cast something on. My own scrap sock yarn into a blanket.

And what better yarn to start with than the first yarn I bought for myself.
