It’s a partly colourized runner-up remake of very late #WeimarRepublic propaganda entertainment.

One one of the authors fell in conflict with his military psychiatrist and that was too one of the reasons why psychiatrist was depicted as evil.

The author can sketch out the life of the city and its culture so nicely. So the authors of Caligari were Czech and Austrian? Very interesting. These countries have such rich and intriguing culture.

The Blue Angel (1930), the first Josef von Sternberg movie to star Marlene Dietrich.
Made in Germany with both the English and the much superior German language versions being shot simultaneously.
Dietrich is extraordinary as Lola Lola, a surprisingly complex and ambiguous femme fatale.
A true cinematic masterpiece.
