#WestHighlandWay, from Inversnaid to Inverarnan, along #LochLomond.

Today we looped the loop of our bike tour with #Glencoe to #FortWilliam by the #WestHighlandWay and military road , which we joined from #Kinlochleven. There it's a quite steep path for 2km, on which we pushed more than pedalled - hikers were looking at us with a pitying or even worried look.

But once the 200m+ are done, great wideish track, rocky and watery, in an amazing #firstDayOfTheWorld landscape! By then hikers's looks turned rather envious ;)

I had a fantastic 2.5 week #holiday visiting friends and walking the #WestHighlandWay. Hadn't felt this fulfilled and happy in years! It created space in my mind and reduced anxiety so much, I could cry from realising the the actual happy me has not been lost🌻

Been back at work now for a few days only, and I can feel the mindspace and relaxation wane already. It only took a day for my back/neck ache to return so I'm really trying to not get sucked back into the stressed #PhD life

I did it. Was so good to hike the #westhighlandway and to be in #Scotland again after such a long time. Now, being home again I try to make some Scottish morning rolls and square sausage today.... Which hike should I try next year? #Greatglenway #robroyway or something else?

Its only a fortnight till I head off to Scotland and take on the #westhighlandway
Due to #depression and #anxiety I couldn't do any longer journeys the last 25 years or so. I wasn't able to leave my save haven at home for so long. Nevertheless now I'm really looking forward to the trip and the hike and I will do it! So good to see #Scotland again. So in two weeks time on this hour I should be on the train to #Glasgow
