In for the winter, so I'm digging through some of my old ride photos.
Here's the western segment of the West Penn Trail. It starts with about five miles of gentle terrain, like this:
Picking up where I left off on my old server, I'm posting pics of some of my favorite #railtrail rides since I'm stuck indoors for the winter.
This bridge along the #WestPenn #trail was built in 1907. When a dam was constructed nearby nearly 40 years later, it began regularly disappearing beneath the lake. You actually have to check water levels before you ride this trail, or you can get stranded.
