Just thinkin’ about the #YellowBuckeye #Aesculus_flava that formerly grew near Elk River, #WestVirginia & was measured at 177.6’ (54 m) tall in Mar. 2009. Surprisingly, this means until quite recently Yellow Buckeyes were the third-tallest #tree species in Eastern North America (after E. White Pine and Tuliptrees). This #bigtree was reportedly 196’ (59.7 m) when alive, although this is apparently *somewhat* exaggerated.

In my humble opinion, the only true way to know if a team is good or bad is by making an instant judgement on the first play of the first offensive drive. So here are the top 5 yards/play leaders on the first play of the first offensive drive out of every power 5 team for the 2022 season up through week 12:
1. #MichiganState - 22.8 yards/play
2. #BostonCollege - 22.6
3. #LSU - 21.6
4. #WestVirginia - 18.2
5. #NotreDame - 12.7

@acutdaw If you ever make it to the states, I recommending spending a couple of days in #WestVirginia. You'd love it, especially in the autumn
@acutdaw There is a place in #WestVirginia - I forget the name of it - that looks just like this. So beautiful.
There are claims about #AmericanSycamore #Platanus_occidentalis with much *much* larger trunks include one described by, of all people, #GeorgeWashington from what would later become #PointPleasant #WestVirginia (yes, the #Mothman town…) with a trunk circumference of 44’10” (13.67 m) — roughly a diameter of over 14’ (4.37 m).
