I am so thankful to have this view out my front door. I still suffer from cabin fever post-surgery, so Storm and I wheeled down to the mailbox.

That’s the farthest we’ve gone for a while, and we will try to make this a habit. My leg still hurts like hell, but the doctor said that my leg looked good. Progress!!

As an occasional part-time #wheelie, #WheelchairUser , the #Disabilism (UK, etc.) / #ableism (US) I have encountered since the #UltraRightWing #Conservatives / #Tories took power in 2010 has gone through the roof. I used to have a #MobilityScooter, but the #DisabilityHate fomented by #UKgov had total strangers abusing me every time I left the house. I stopped going out and sold it.

I hope the walk works for you. Sadly I am a #wheelchairuser so a walk is out of the question and my #COPD, coupled with atrociously maintained pavements around my house, mean a wheel is out of the question too. I have complained about the pavements to no avail. Thankfully I do have a COPD appointment at my GPs coming up though. As for the other elements, relaxing helps a bit when I can do it but I've been on my painkillers too long to benefit completely from them.

It’s time to deal with the snow again in my wheelchair. I was thinking that someone needs to make wheel and rim cleaner for a wheelchair, where you go into and turn the wheels and don’t go anywhere and it brushes them off and mostly dries them. That of course could explain a lot particularly the people who try to walk into me when I venture out. However I am lucky in where I currently abide. I am a #WheelchairUser with #COPD so I have struggled at times when I've been out o my own. Thankfully I live in a town where people take the time to help a stranger in difficulty. It has restored some of my faith in humanity. I do not take it for granted considering some places I have lived.
