Russel's 1932 essay reminds me of a 1979 work by #StephenJayGould: #WideHatsNarrowMinds. The whole essay is in my 1988(?) copy of The Practical Stylist. For years, I thought the few lines I remembered were from a piece by James Baldwin. The lines said to worry less about the characteristics of great brains like Einstein's and more about the conditions that have great brains dying in cotton fields. My guess is that old liberal arts books of thoughtful writing could ease recent "AI" worries.
