Independently from my own #solarpunk #gaming musings, recently I stumbled into the #wildsea #rpg and I have to say that I am in love with it.

It's a post-post apocalypse of a different kind: the Verdancy caused the trees to grow kilometers tall, mutated animals, created new ecosystems, forced the humanity and other sapiences to change.

It's not a realistic game about the climate change, but a beautiful take on communities, citing Sunless Sea, Bastion, and the Bas-Lag Trilogy as inspirations.

The #wildsea #ttrpg has a pretty great GM section! I was happy to see a section on using questions as the GM - something I've written about a lot on my blog.

Has anyone had the chance to read through #wildsea yet? Any thoughts on it?

Instead, I'm writing up a taxonomy of aspects in the Wildsea RPG.

Okay, a poll! Here's the shortlist of games I'm thinking of running for three players starting next week:

Campaign is six months long (4th player on paternity leave). Rules medium or lighter. No fantasy (we're on break from 13th Age).

The best part about my #Spelljammer #DragonEyes campaign going to a liveworld is that I can break out these bad boys, ganked from Mythopoeia’s wonderful #Wildsea RPG- which not #5e based, but is a wonderful game in itself and extremely evocative for #Worldbuilding.

@evilkipper #OldSchoolEssentials A5 is killer, but I have a soft spot for #SavageWorlds adventure editions 'graphic novel size' (6-5/8″ wide by 10-1/4″ high) and it feels absolutely delightful in the hand in that narrow format. #WildSea is in landscape american paper size I believe which is strange but a great format to show off wide panel art in!

@BardicInquiry The setting slaps, but the coolest part of #Wildsea is its Aspect mechanic, which is a cross between Fate Aspects and #Pbta/#FitD Moves, but they’re also ablative as the core HP in the game. It’s really ingenious.
