I've been listening to the 's for years now. The episode I heard today, about is perhaps unique. Rather than merely asking his guests questions, or to read a few lines, himself intervenes to read the end of *Dulce et Decorum Est*.

Poems that are dear to his heart, it seems. Merited.

(An unusual ending to the episode too...)

@aliettedb is a miracle. My personal favorite of his is The Parable of the Old Man and the Young. I can't hear or read that stunning last line without weeping.

Have you ever seen the film "Behind the Lines" starring Jonathan Pryce? (I think it had a different title in Britain. Based on the Pat Barker novel REGENERATION.) It's in part a wonderful depiction of the relationship between Owen and Sassoon, and gives Owen the last word, as it were.

Good morning Fediverse!

The poem for today is a beautiful one about war, "Strange Meeting" by Wilfred Owen.
