Assumed -50 windchill meant hurricane-force winds would, at minimum, blow our bins over and send poopy diapers sailing through the street. I'd open the shades to see a poopy diaper plastered to window. Or it would freeze into rock-poop, torpedoing holiday displays. That didn't happen. #Windchill doesn't mean extreme wind speeds. Temperature dropped but house stayed warm, power stayed on, nothing blew around. Some non-events worth mentioning. Canada can laugh if they want. #winterstorm #cold

@barfuesser Natürlich eine dicke Jacke. Seltener #Handschuhe, denn die Hände lassen sich meist gut durch #Bewegung warmhalten. Außer auf dem #Fahrrad, da ist es durch den #Windchill schwerer. Da müssen öfter Handschuhe her.

Manchmal trage ich eine lange #Unterhose, denn das Wichtigste beim #barfußlaufen im Winter ist, die #Beine und #Waden bis zum #Knöchel warmzuhalten. Die Zehen dürfen nicht zu kalt werden. Richtschnur sind die beiden kleinen Zehen. Denen muss es gut gehen.
