1/5 Clapham South deep level shelter.

Last week I went on a #hiddenlondon tour of the deep level shelter under #Clapham South tube. This was built during the blitz but was not used as a shelter until the V1 V2 flying bomb raids in 1944. After the war they were used as a penny hotel, accommodation for the Festival of Britain and a reception centre for #Windrush passengers.

Sunak has made many mistakes, but the worst was appointing Braverman to Home Sec *only days* after she quit gov't due to breaking the ministerial code.

Everything she's done since has been toxic:
- “a plane taking off to Rwanda … That’s my dream. That’s my obsession.”
- urging police crackdown Vs climate protestors for "disrupting our way of live" (sic)
- recanting on gov't pledges to Windrush generation

etc. etc.
It's relentlessly shit, isn't it.
