Does anyone know of a tool for #wireguard that lets me define the whole network in one place and spits out config files for each node? Preferably #cli based so I can use it with #ansible, and also one that isn't limited to a single central server.
#WireGuardVPN #ansible #cli #wireguard
@sebastianappler was thinking of using a #VPN to access the admin interface, but I am at a loss for which option to go for. Was thinking of #WireGuard or #OpenVPN with #MFA enabled.
Any experience with any of this by chance?
Not sure which hashtags to use for visibility so gonna add #WireGuardVPN #2FA for good measure.

I wrote up how I got #vxlan working over #wireguard #WireGuardVPN on #openbsd as with most things on OpenBSD not that complicated 🙌🏼

@opensoul
suggerisco di installare sul primo
#adblocker #pihole https://pi-hole.net/
#WireGuardVPN https://www.wireguard.com/
dal secondo ti colleghi in vpn alla rete di casa e accedi in remoto ai tuoi PC più performanti

Does anyone here have a working example of running #vxlan over #wireguard #WireGuardVPN on #openbsd ? It doesn't look too difficult reading the man pages but struggling to find examples.
Actually I'm fine with the wireguard config do just a working #vxlan on OpenBSD would be helpful

Eventually got #pihole and #WireGuardVPN running on a #raspberrypi so I can now access my network from anywhere with an internet connection and see a lot less adverts.
Currently using only ipv4, don’t understand enough about ipv6 to sort out the subnets - any suggestions for a good understandable tutorial?

Which distro(s) would you be using:
#illumos #WireGuardVPN #tailscale #smartos #openindiana #omnios #omniosce
Two polls about #illumos, #WireGuardVPN, and #Tailscale.

After at least several failures at several different time periods, I finally got #WireGuardVPN running on a cloud machine! For anyone trying at home, don't assign listening ports to NAT'd machines, let them infer the listening port from their sending port. That's what caused my several previous attempts to fail miserably
Got #Kiwix up and running! Biggest hassle was figuring how to get it to run as a daemon at boot because their #documentation sucks.
Finally dug into their source to find command options to actually run it and point to .zim files and run as a service.
I think my next project will be to set up #WireGuardVPN to access my LAN remotely

After about four years of half-assed attempts to configure WireGuard VPN, I finally have a couple of solid configs on my VPS. One allows me to tunnel all traffic from a client through my VPS; the other allows me to remotely access my homelab using my VPS as an intermediate peer. The Site Gateway as a Spoke example in the article below was useful for validating my WireGuard configs.

@senia Okay, that's what I suspected. I'll see if I can perhaps run the Proxy on my #WireGuardVPN server, though that one is much, much smaller.
Otherwise, the browser plugin will have to suffice for now.
As my projects are getting more and more diverse, I'm starting to wonder: How do I go about #server #scaling?
My issue is right now I'm scaling vertically - with the exception of my #WireGuardVPN server, which is a separate machine.
My main server is powerful, way oversized for my projects still. But if it fails, ALL my projects are down.
The price tag of scaling horizontally far exceeds that of scaling vertically, though. What's your solution?

@sten Regarding that, I've taken the following steps:
* Set up a VPN server using #WireGuardVPN
* Closed the ports used by IMAP and POP3 to all but localhost and my VPN server
* Configured fail2ban to block those who attempt and fail authentication too many times.
I've also set up a Roundcube webmail instance that can give me access to my email if I cannot access my VPN somehow; this one is protected using 2FA.
Oh, and I'm hosting my own VPN server using #WireGuardVPN, but on a different machine.
The pandemic gave me time to geek out again. I went on a self hosting kick. Email with #mailinabox, communication with #matrix, collaboration with #nextcloud, my own #plex server and both #WireGuardVPN and #openvpn.
The last part of the puzzle is deciding what document editing to use. #onlyoffice isn't playing nice with my Nextcloud for some reason so I'm thinking #collaboraonline or #cryptpad
Any recommendations anyone? Thanks.
