If someone could run #VampireTheMasquarde for me one day, that be great! Never played it, though I own V2/V5 and in the 90s I was up to my chin in #Punk #Postpunk and #Goth subculture (or what we imagined that would be in rural NW Germany 🐮 👨‍🌾 ): Perfect target audience for #WoD, but somehow the Power Fantasy/Edgelord elements of the game kept me from playing it. Today, with safety tools at hand, I’d love to explore the darkest corners of the #WoD

Grundsätzlich gilt mMn: Simpel > komplex. Einige komplexe Beispiele sind
* #DSA 4 (5 kenne ich nicht genug): total kaputt und überfrachtet
* #Traveler: Die spielgewordene Tabellenkalkulation
* #Pathfinder (und auch #DnD geht in diese Richtung): man will es allen recht machen und baut die abstrusesten Charakteroptionen ein
Gute und simple RPGs
* #Dungeonslayers (One-Page Abenteuer)
* #WoD Würfelsystem (d10 Pool)
* #PbtA
* #FATE (was den Regelteil betrifft)

#RPGaDay23 (12) Oldest game I'm still playing: Only game I get to play regularly I talked about 1st. So let's go with oldest game I'd immediately run again.

#changelingTheDreaming. 20th Ann. Ed. is pretty neat.

Discoupling seeming (your apparent Fae age) from actual age solves one of the main problems and why wouldn't a kid imagine to be a wise old ruler. Or an old person dream of being a child again.

And further nice cleanups all around.

Das merkwürdigste Spiel, das ich gespielt habe, war sicherlich "World of Homestuck", eine Homestuck Kampagne basierend auf WoD Regeln. Es gab bestimmt über 30 Spieler, niemand wusste es genau.

Highlights waren, dass ein NPC meinem Charakter mit einem Würfelpool von 50+ Würfeln einen Arm abgetrennt hat, weil der ihn zu sehr geärgert hat, woraufhin er fast verblutet wäre. Kurz danach hat mein Charakter ein Kostüm angezogen und wurde zu einem Magical Girl.

Great question, depends on my mood. There are too many on my list. Today:
1. #COPS: I don't speak French. #Cyberpunk...
2. #WerewolftheApocalypse: Maybe the coolest #WoD setting
3. #ArsMagica: We tried it and failed, still on my list....

Meine Runde "Überraschungs-Vampire" (siehe https://rollenspiel.social/@magicksRampage/109897312284933103 ), als One-Shot konzipiert, hat sich zu einer vollwertigen Sandbox Kampagne entwickelt.

Bei der Erstellung der Sandbox habe ich mich von Beyond the Wall: In die Ferne inspirieren lassen. Statt Schauplätzen habe ich die Spieler wichtige NPCs gestalten lassen.

Rereading #MageTheAscension and yeah I love me some existential Philosophy shenanigans, but my headache after trying to comprehend the inner workings of the lore remind me why I never run a #mage game 😅

I just finished playing #vampirethemasquerade Coteries of New York on my switch and now I have a headache. Don't get me wrong I think it's really cool but I started yesterday evening, and played all day today.
And now my brain hurts from focusing on all the reading.

@greenspindle Du bist nicht alleine. #FreeLeague bewegt sich gerade direkt auf meine Blacklist. Sie übertreiben das #WoD bzw. #FFG-Ding. Alle paar Monate wird ein neues System rausgehauen.Entweder kommt wenig nach bzw. es dauert ewig (#Symbaroum, Coriolis), zudem ist die Qualität mitunter fragwürdig….(#Alien #Coriolis)
Ich habe jedenfalls keine Lust mehr auf dieser Basis weiterhin #FreaLeague zu unterstützen.
Symbaroum mach ich die Kampagne noch fertig. Dann war’s das wohl…

Every few month another system while the previous project(s) have not been delivered and/or reasonably expanded.
Furthermore, I don't care about #Zombied and especially a #WalkingDead #ttrpg.

Habe gestern meine erste Session Überraschungs-Vampire geleitet. Dabei habe ich den Spielern vorher nicht gesagt, was gespielt wird, und ihre Charakterbögen auf Basis ihrer Beschreibungen erstellt, ohne sie ihnen zu zeigen.

Die Überraschung war schon groß als ihnen die Wahrheit über die seltsamen Veränderungen an den Körpern und Gefühlen ihrer Charaktere gedämmert hat. Sie hatten eher auf Delta Green spekuliert. :rm_evil:

Zu mehr als ein paar #BlackSpiralDancers hat es bei mir/uns noch nicht gereicht. Leider.

@peter @Morgunin Hm, back in the 90s until the dawn of #5E, #DnD was still a thing, but e. g. #WoD #Shadowrun sold similar well, some products even better (iirc). Back then I worked for #WDS, the "exclusive distributor" of #TSR / #DnD in Germany. #DnD4e sold (as far as I know) pretty bad overall.
In my opinion, it's complicated, and it's not an all or nothing thing. The #OGL has paved the way for the survival of #DnD as we know it. #OSR clones are everywhere.

@W99 @TheTweedmeister Yup, a British #DresdenFiles #TTRPG? I like that it‘s not like #WoD … As I understand the game so far, it's really more #UrbanFantasy and not so overemphasized dark and mean. The author may disagree with me, #DresdenFiles #Neverwhere I think I recognize in its #DNA. It‘s a fun read so far. Sometimes difficult topics like diversity are integrated skillfully and credibly. The art (direction) is intriguing. Enjoy. I‘m looking forward to the adventure collection…
