The goal of the championship is to provide the first rung of the ladder and provide more opportunities for women who aspire to become professional racing drivers.

In addition to the racing, all candidates will undergo extensive physical, mental and technical training that will prepare them to become well-rounded drivers and graduate to the next steps.

#F1 Academy has released more details on its nascent championship, aimed at fostering the next generation of women drivers for top level open wheel competition.

The highlights:

✅ 15 drivers will compete in 5 teams of 3
✅ Drivers will compete on a spec entry level category chassis, running a 165hp 4 cylinder engine & 13" Pirelli tyres
✅ Driver budget capped at €150,000
✅ 7 events scheduled for 2023 season including at least 1 #F1 Grand Prix weekend
