Just did a solo weekend #writersretreat in the most exquisite place in country Victoria.

Such amazing creative flow that I wrote for hours and finished off majority of remaining major edits on The Bones Beneath.

Cor it’s all right for some innit! My sister Sophie’s gone off for an amazing writing retreat at Gladstone’s Library in the beautiful village of Hawarden in North Wales. She’ll be working on our next book - in between sleeping and eating!

Sophie entered a competition to win a month’s residency - and she was one of the winners!

Writers! Term is over and I can dip into a fantasy of having free time until it re-starts in January. I have a pipe dream of setting up a writers retreat but really I have only read #TamaraDrewe and seen love actually more times than I should.
So...
Have you retreated? What was it like? What would you want it to have, or not have? Were there lots of people (Tamara Drew) or was it a solo retreat (Colin Firth in LA)? Etc. Etc.

I belong to a small #writing group that meets on Zoom a couple of times per month. I’ve never met them irl due to COVID concerns but they are all local. We are meeting this Friday for a #WritersRetreat online (where we have short chats interspersed with long solo writing sessions).
