Our emotions and feelings can be very deceptive of reality, or how things truly are. Many times our thoughts, emotions, and desires are not in alignment, but opposed to what the word of God says and how God thinks. “For His thoughts are not always our thoughts,” (ref Isa 55:8-9). Something that might feel right to us, can very well be contrary to the scriptures.

Jeremiah mentions a covenant God wants to make with His people, where He writes His Law in their hearts (Jer 31:33). When the word of God is written within us, that is when we are able to walk in right understanding and in the perfect will God has for our lives. It is not based on our own feelings, emotions, or ideas, but based on what His word says.
