Frage an die Nutzer des #Dell #XPS 13: Die Schlitze auf der Unterseite in Längsrichtung an der Halterung des Monitors, müssen die immer frei bleiben? Ist schwer, wenn ich meinen Laptop z.B. auf dem Bett Stelle und was machen möchte.

@markstos These are a few guesses from my perception. Not sure if it helps.

1) Do you live in a humid area?
2) Is there any physical damage? Especially the connector of screen and keyboard (laptop shaft? I'm not sure about its name)
3) Can you try to go to the BIOS config menu? As you mentioned its #Dell #XPS, I guess the hotkey is F2 *. Other possible choices may include Esc, F12 or Del
