@bookishbrews #IronWidow by #XiranJayXhao, which unfortunately wasn’t for me, despite being a big fan of theirs. That’s fine, but it also seemed really misfitted to the target age group and current market trends re. sexual & other violence in #YA so I have a hard time even recommending it to teen patrons. It was honestly more disturbing than any adult #fantasy or #scifi I’ve read! I really feel like I misunderstood the book’s goals though 🤷🏻‍♂️
