I haven't tested this, but apparently #YIFY has a onion address to access the site via #Tor:

There was a time that I also did that with The Pirate Bay, but it was always a sort of weird workflow: opening tor, searching onionsite for certain content, grabbing the magnet URL, closing tor, launching VPN, launching client and commencing download. Maybe if your internet is a little more "free," this can work better for you.
