The #US Institute for War Studies (#ISW) credits the Ukrainian military with "considerable progress" in the months-long battle for the city of #Bakhmut. Accordingly, footage showed that Ukrainian forces made significant tactical gains near the village of #Yahidne, two kilometers north of Bakhmut. In addition, the military is continuing its counter-offensive on at least three other front sections.

3/ Yevgeny #Prigozhin claimed that his #Wagner Group fighters captured #Yahidne (2km north of Bakhmut) and posted a picture of Wagner fighters posing near the settlement’s welcome sign that was later geolocated, indicating that Wagner fighters likely captured the settlement.

Head of the Wagner PMC Prigozhin, announced the capture of the village of #Yahidne near #Bakhmut. This village is located 2 km from the city center. The AFU General Staff reported that several attacks by the occupiers near Bakhmut had been repelled by the Ukrainian Army.
