I have either outgrown a lot of my #hobbies the last year or two, or have lost the ability to access/afford them. I am never quite sure how to fill my time on the days I actually feel okay.

I have #yarn, and I have #books galore that I haven't read, and there are a few TV shows I want to watch. But I'm not sure what I'm really into or about anymore.

Maybe this is a mild #MidLifeCrisis? Maybe that's just a term for people maturing more at 40 or 50 and having to adjust accordingly? 🤔

Once upon a time, I #knit a scarf. I am a very average #crochet girl normally, but once I made a simple scarf and I love it. That was 10 years ago.

Now, I think to myself, I'll make another more complicated one! A small delicate one! It'll be fun!

What on earth have I gotten myself into?! Haha. So much to learn, I finally got 5 stitches cast on and I am jumping for joy 😹

So I recently took up crochet as a "non-screen" hobby for my evenings. I've just bumped into a knot tying two threads together in the middle of my ball of yarn. No idea if this is usual? Or this just a bad brand/ball of yarn? Presume I should just end one row the cut off the bit with the knot and start a new row? I have a dilemma. I was just gifted some pretty hand-painted yarn. I want to #knit a new shawl. But I'm working on a prayer shawl using solid-colored cotton-blend yarn that I kind of hate. But its destiny is to make someone feel better so it's good to power thorough. But also the new #yarn is so pretty.

What should I do?

A while back I encountered yarn with hi vis reflective stands for safety in the dark but I neglected to buy any or even note the brand.

Now I have a project that calls for it, but I can't find it back.

Does this ring a bell to anyone? If you know of other types of hi vis string, cord or thread that might also be useful.

#knitters — I have amassed a respectable collection of single skeins of fingering-weight #yarn. I’m not really a handmade socks kind of person. What other projects are well suited to this stash?

The heat is out in my office so last night I whipped up these #knitted mitts. I’d once bought a whole bag of this #yarn and now I’m down to the last few skeins—lovely for comfy winter knits
