#YoutubeMusic is better in this regard because they pay per stream or "listen"

#Youtube doesn't. With YoutubeMusic, you get paid even though you are a small artist, but you basically don't get anything as a small Youtube creator because #Google doesn't allow you to monetize while you are still small, but still show ads and make money off of your content.

So 6 years later, I am now using #YouTubeMusic

Why?

Well, I have many #Youtube only artists, and I can now download and listen to their songs.

But data is also so cheap now, I just stream everything! None of my songs are downloaded by me, they are automatically downloaded and I have about 120GB on my phone, but I don't even care anymore.

I have a 10GB bundle per month, of which 8GB is music streaming while I am away or in the car.

Data is so cheap, I just buy 10GB when I need to.

But the problem still frustrates me to this day and I hate it. Their bugs have been solved by the cost of data improving but all of the music apps still have fundamental and blatant flaws!

What breaks me is that none of them can get mobile data usage to work correctly.

I first got #AppleMusic, because they had the student discount before #YoutubeMusic and #Spotify in my country.

So I got something like 80% off because of this.

But when I got in the car, if I played a downloaded song, it would automatically play a suggested song over mobile data, but if you click on a non-downloaded song, it would say "mobile data usage not allowed".

It would also not detect that I am on mobile data, so would not allow me to play anything, so I would need to turn off mobile data to be able to listen to anything in the car!

This racked up my phone bill to such an extent, that #AppleMusic was costing me more, with my subscription and data usage!

Also, why is it in my history #Google? I hate it when I watch 10 #YoutubeShorts, and my history is just ruined. I actually use my history as a reference, and my father and I also check each other's histories on the TV if we tell each other to check something out. Because of course, #Youtube doesn't have a good sharing directly to account feature.

#YoutubeMusic also does it. If I spent a weekend with my friend and he played music videos without audio over my YoutubeMusic app, my history is also just ruined.

Or if you are subscribed to an artist and they drop an album. Your entire subscription list is ruined.

Gosh, can #Google just split their services up, keep it in the same app that I don't need 50 apps for essentially the same services but different features and not kill it of 6 months later?

Only money #Google has ever received from me are like the 5 apps I bought on #PlayStore and then my #YoutubeMusic subscription.

Otherwise, why would they grant me free services? My Youtube Music subscription is pennies to them. The unskippable 20-second #ads on my TV is how they are making money.

That's why I removed the #Youtube app from my phone and only watched videos in the #Brave browser. I literally never watch an ad when I watch Youtube. At the cost of comfort, of course, but there is no alternative.

It is the only #Google product I can't remove or replace in my life, unfortunately.

Nur für Privacy Menschen zahle gerne 10 - 25 € /Monat finde nur nichst bezweifel auch das ich einen Finde aber welchen der Datenschutzunfreundlichen ist der welcher okay wäre Über ein Werbe Profil würde man an mir sowie nichts verdienen sehe nie Werbung und wenn kaufe ich aus Werbung sowie nichts. Daher wäre mir bei Musik minimale Datenerfassung relativ egal da Musik hören für mich eine Öffentliche information ist genau wie mein Musikgeschmack.

Alles Kaufen wird jedoch zu Teuer ( Alben kaufen ) und Illegal Downloaden ist keine Option.

Vielleicht mag mir jemand helfen.

Last year, I started discovering #NewMusic & making lists on #Spotify, #YouTubeMusic, & #AppleMusic. My goal was to provide these to people in a format they’re likely to be able to consume: Spotify & YouTube Music can be accessed without subscription (plus they’re easier to use), for example. But 3 services took a lot of time, so I stopped.
I want to start this again, but only using ONE platform. Which should I use? Goal is to expose the most people to new and interesting #music. Concern is accessibility vs #ethics.
See, I have issues with how much Spotify and YouTube Music #pay #musicians. I prefer other services, like Apple Music, #Tidal, or #IDAGIO (for classical), which pay better. But more access is good, right?

YouTube Music is pretty clever at generating playlists but I've discovered a problem. As a guitarist, I find myself listening to "xxxxxx isolated guitar track" and "B Mixolydian Backing Track". Not awful, but less than ideal.
