In Derbyshire, volunteers are creating the UK's first Young People's Forest. This article talks about how it has helped to relieve 'climate anxiety' in the young people and I think that's a very important message. The immensity of the climate crisis can be overwhelming. But being overwhelmed limits our ability to cope, let alone do positive things. I hope these news stories act in a similar way.

I was particularly drawn to Emily Ocasio, who is using AI to analyse news reports of murder victims to demonstrate the ways that black people are talked about in a less 'humanising' way. And Ambika Grover who, at the age of 17, has developed a technique to break up blood clots which should help stroke victims.

Many #youngPeople see what must be done to reduce the very bad effects of the #NatureCrisis and #ClimateCrisis in the near and medium range #future. Sadly there there are also lots of young people that have not grasped this.
But happily we are lots of #oldpeople above 30 and even above 70 who know action for big changes is paramount.
So call for the ones who are "awake", rather than employing #ageism and presuppose the youth in general knows best. #COP15
