Okay, I've complained a few times about my 19-month old #Amazfit GTS 2e and the terrible state of the #Zepp #iOS app.
Now, tho, I have to do the opposite. The app updates of the last two months have been great: the app now pushes detailed sleep data to #AppleHealth, and also workout data! (No more Strava workaround, yay!) I was contemplating getting an Apple Watch but not anymore. Good stuff. 👍🏼
Also, I found out why I had to manually tell the GTS to track my heart rate during workouts:
1/2
#amazfit #Zepp #ios #applehealth
You just gotta love how #AmazFit just drops support for their watches after a year or two. My GTS 2e came out 2 years ago.
The accompanying #Zepp app on iOS has a watch faces section, and (for weeks by now) 3/4 of the previews are just grey squares with a watch face title below but that's okay because the downloads are 404 anyways.
Also, the date on the watch just switched to 03/03 (it's 17:28 over here) after showing the previous date all day long.
I fucking hate this kind of neglect so much
I like my #AmazFit GTS 2e: good price point, relatively sturdy, more sensors than I need, good value for the money. But the accompanying #Zepp iOS software is …not good.
Sometimes, half-way through a workout the heart rate stops syncing to the iPhone, sometimes it isn't synced at all. The watch is recording, though. But the app doesn't even think of maybe filling the blanks in the workouts afterwards with what's available. I mean 🤷🏻♂️
Temperature sensor in the watch!! Not synced to the app. Srsly
