Shot with a #z50, stacked with #zerenestacker from 46 individual shots. It took about five minutes to process, followed by a minute or two of manual retouching to remove a few artifacts.

@plantarum @Edrmorris #ZereneStacker is the best I have used. Retouching works well, even if some of the frames are misaligned (because of wind).

My setup is a tripod and a rail slider with 1 mm thread pitch (which gives the possibility of abt 16 steps per mm when needed). For 1:1 ratio usually 4 steps are enough. My favorite one is the below geranium.

For in-camera stacking (with Nikon D750) I was using qDslrDashboard app, which works quite well.

There are free alternatives, but they seem to require more effort and the default results have more artifacts.

For this one I had my camera on a tripod and manually shifted the focus between each of the six shots. Looking at them now, I missed some details. Next time I'll try more, smaller focus shifts to get the whole thing in focus. A lot of cameras do this focus shifting automatically now, but not the model I picked (before i knew that was even an option!).

The stitching is done with the default settings on the program and no retouching. There are retouching options to clean up the results, but I think since I missed the focus on this one it's not worth more time.

Dutchmen's Britches, a native member of the Fumariaceae (Bleeding-Heart Family), sometimes treated as a subfamily of the Papaveraceae (Poppy Family).

Like the poppies, it has two sepals, and two series of petals. In this case, both series have two petals. The lower series is inflated to form the white 'pantaloons', and the inner petals form a yellow beak that peaks out from the 'waist' of the pantaloons.
