Ann Arbor Farmers Market smelled amazing today and was full of produce. Full report to come later.
Groceries now in the fridge at @workantile to get ready to take them home.

Lots of bicycles there, enough to fill the nearby racks.

At Ann Arbor Farmers Market
Rhubarb! From Wasem's.
Also green onions, purple daikon radish.
I am told that the asparagus vanished soon after it appeared when the market opened at 700a.
Afterwards, a lovely cardamon cortado at Roos.

Ann Arbor Farmers Market report for Saturday 2023-04-29
Lots of lettuce and other greens
Last year's apples and carrots and such
The usual assortment of prepared foods and baked goods and frozen meats
Local #rhubarb forecast: 2 weeks away, there has been some cold and wet weather. The produce manager at the food coop said that Canadian rhubarb is available but pricey so they are going to wait a bit.
I will ask about #asparagus next time, no sign this time.

letting a phone charge a bit, then off to Farmers Market on bike, dodging the graduation-related traffic.
What I am on the hunt for is early season rhubarb! In past years my early reports have been 1st or 2d weeks of May, so it might be a tad early.
I have strict instructions not to buy any greens, as we currently have a surplus of salad at home from a potluck. and last week's apple cider (very much end of season) was not so tasty so I'll skip that too.
At Farmers Market, Apple cider, spicy salad mix. Good crowd.
At Ann Arbor Farmers Market
pierogi from Srodek's, apple cider from Wasem's, honey crisp apples from Kapnick's, a big radish from Tantre's, a lettuce from Goetz's, an a chonky green cabbage.
A nice day, market was busy.
At Ann Arbor Farmers Market, the report was of 6 vendors braving the bitter cold. I saw two of them, and bought pie bites from one and pierogi from the other. Brr!
Ann Arbor Farmers Market for Saturday, 2022-12-17.
Blue squash (Hubbard but smaller?), cabbage, endive (frisee), ruby chard, Honeycrisp apples, ham and brie croissant.
People's Food Coop has a couple of sales going on including several 2-for-1 specials on pasta and sauce, and $15 extra when you buy a $100 gift card.
Don't use an axe to cut open a Hubbard squash, the axe will bounce off the squash. Throw it down the stairs instead to crack it open.
At #a2market early (for me at least).
Cabbage, tomatoes, apple cider, Ida Red apples, stuffed grape leaves, sweet banana peppers, kale, acorn squash, and a ham-and-brie croissant.
Catherine Street is open again, and while the new separated bicycle lanes look done, they are still barricaded off for now.
I didn't have any problem finding anything that I was looking for, but there were a few regular vendors that weren't there - I guess the season is tailing off.

Farmers market: plums, chocolate croissant, ham and swiss crossaint, red potatoes, kale, green onions.
We'll have the kale and green onions tonight, cooked with a little sweet corn. The croissants are breakfast and second breakfast. The potatoes will keep until they are needed. Not sure yet about the plums.
