Why are there replacement cases in all colors like transparent, black, blue and whatnot, but not in the original beige? I just want an original case that’s new and not brittle.

Well, that didn't take long, as I figured out how to make my A500+A590 dual boot. Hold a button and it will soft-kick and boot into 3.1 :)

I wanted to use this old AMIGA Bi-Fi game on the A500 Mini.

First, I used KryoFlux to read the disk, then put the ADF onto a FAT16 USB Stick. It actually works just fine! 🙂

Zustand weitgehend unbekannt. Will wohl von Diskette booten, habe aber keinen passenden Monitor. Ein paar Spiele (alles Disketten) und Maus sind auch dabei.

Gave the A500 some new capacitors while I was at it. I like the polymer Kemets a lot, have used them in quite a few builds lately. Not too pricey either, at least compared to other polymer caps.

Tinkering with a A500 motherboard for a future build. It didn't work, and it seemed to be a bad Gary. But I had a tiny hope it was just the socket, since the sockets on this board are horrid. Hardly grips the chips at all. Turns out...it was a bad Gary after all. But I changed out a few of the sockets anyways! Works with a new chip in, so that's something. AND I like to solder stuff, so that's a win also.

This is my favorite sidecar design. Commodore . Both a SCSI and an XT hard drive controller and up to 2MB Fast Ram expansion. The perfect companion for making your 500 a more productive machine.
