it's my #A5E game, so i can do what i want with it. reframing the downtime activities so that "1 week" = 5 days doing 4 hours of work per day. obviously 8 hours for a long rest. and the other 12 for whatever the fuck we please (plus weekends!)

I have written a couple of books that let people homebrew and hack their own cultures and species.

If you're familiar with the Level Up: Advanced Fifth Edition #a5e then you might have seen some of the differences. It runs much like 5e but doesn't assume that elves know how to use bows at birth. :)

So, I thought I'd take a second to write about the core mechanic and how it was made more advanced.

In 5e, when we ask, does sth happen, we roll a D20 add an ability score and maybe we add a proficiency bonus. This is true of attack rolls, Saving Throws and ability checks.
