Made a little mobile map for the #aadl summer game that lets you check off home codes as you find them: https://matth.org/aadl-map/
Looking forward to the next time the #AADL decides to put forth a millage to support the library.
The Ann Arbor downtown library bond millage proposal was defeated in 2012. Since then it has become abundantly clear that anti-library interests nationwide are aligned with the worst aspects of our society. "Fiscal responsibility" in this case was a cover for right-wing conservatism.
A decade later, it's time to do this again and do it right.

Playing the Summer Game at #AADL Malletts Creek. Achievement unlocked, "Malletts Creek Collector" badge acquired.
Note that the light at East Eisenhower and Stone School is out, and should be treated as a 4-way stop.
Visiting AADL branches by bike! Today: downtown to Westgate.
AADL did a video during pandemic. My route was a little different.

The route outbound is uphill, but even with that, only 20 minutes. On the way back I detoured to hit a few parks in the Visit Every Park challenge.
One weird city sign. Virginia Park on outbound Liberty directs you to an apartment complex that has a "no park parking" sign on it. Better to move the sign back a block.

The Ann Arbor District Library's newsletter should be called. "The AA DL: The Downlow on Ann Arbor"
Back from #AACME, the "Ann Arbor Creativity and Making Expo", at #AADL downtown.
All my nerd friends were there - robotics (Pi Hi Samurai), ham radio (ARROW club), maker spaces (AHA and Maker Works), improvised electronic music (daveo), and working old computers + old games (a2retrotech). Plus pinhole cameras and much more.
Very nice to hear a din of bleeps and bloops, dits and dahs, amplified Slinky percussion, and Votrax Shakespeare, all in the friendly confines of the AADL Lobbytorium.

Stopped by Record Store Day at #AADL. A bunch of vendors set up in the Lobbytorium with LPs, CDs, various other sorts of merch. I picked up a sticker but didn't carry anything home on my bike through the drizzle. Definitely in the spirit of the day!

"The best way to keep a diary is to keep it clean. Never write in your diary, my son, unless you desire to be sorry at some future time in your life."
Looks like #AADL used to have some of these #otamatone things, back in the day
Ann Arbor Library is hosting Saenger Porcelain for an event next week. They could have included a photo of any set as an example of their work.
They chose to showcase a particularly nerdy tea set.
