Anybody got any idea as to how many badgers that would be? #aardvarks #badgers #asteroids

I'm not ashamed to admit that I understand less and less about pop culture as I get older but I completely missed the moment where we started using aardvarks as a unit of measure.
Are there other units of measure I'm unaware of? How many hedgehogs in an aardvark? Stotes in a badger?!
#NationalAardvarkWeek: In addition to Korèdugaso heads, the Bamana also incorporate #aardvarks into the composite animal designs of the ChiWara. A commonly seen combo is #antelope horns + #pangolin back + #aardvark head & lower body.

More examples of Korèdugaso: 1. rare double-headed version 2. head mounted on stick as "hobby-horse" 3. a whole armoury of #aardvarks! (That's the collective noun for a group of aardvarks, but they're largely solitary animals so that term is mostly for our own amusement)

@CoinOfNote nice! Yes I’ll collect tokens too if there is a cool animal on it. :) With regards to #aardvarks there’s way more to choose from on the postage stamp side of things, with a good number of #African countries having put them on their designs. My favorite is this 2011 sheet from #Mozambique as it’s a team-up with fellow myrmecophagous mammals & all-around awesome animals, #pangolins:

#NationalAardvarkWeek: #DYK #aardvarks are endemic to sub-Saharan #Africa? They've been found in rock art from a number of sites across their native range. Here is a #petroglyph on display at the National Museum of Cultural History in Pretoria, #SouthAfrica: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:National_Cultural_History_Museum-040.jpg

#NationalAardvarkWeek fun fact: #DYK that #aardvarks can stand up for a bit? Their thick kangaroo-like tail helps with balance!

#Aardvarks can not only run fast to escape, but can dig fast too - up to about .6 m/2 ft per 15 seconds! That escape hole in the video above was already there though - they have auxillary burrows throughout their home range in addition to their main home. Good planning! :)

A group of #aardvarks is called a armory.
An armory of aardvarks.

@federation But there's no bio, my dear, so how do I know what your interests are or whether we share any? An #Intro post would be nice, 5-7 hashtagged interests (like #ants or #aardvarks) would be even better, and some posts from you would be best of all! Thank you.
