I just love photographing abandoned structures. The textures and memories that these buildings hold just get me every time!
'This is the doorway of an abandoned barn at Atsion State Park in Wharton State Forest, NJ. There is not much left to the structure besides the four crumbling walls.

Abandoned residential buildings in the outskirts of Raleigh, NC. Pics taken in 2008. I couldn’t find anything about when these buildings were built, and eventually boarded up. Here is another of my favorite Nelson, NV images. Nelson is a "kept" ghost town not far from Hoover Dam. It has been used in movie shoots and is a favorite among portrait photographers. I just love all the setups here.

Nyaaaah! It is #caturday 😻

Here is a photo of me next to an abandoned roadside restaurant. What does this have to do with cats? The restaurant is an old bus that has been decorated to look like #catbus (ネコバス, Nekobasu), from My Neighbour Totoro.

Certainly, it is a film I hold dear to my heart. It never fails to bring a smile to my face, and a little whimsical joy to my day 💙

🛸 Beam Me Up!

Inside an abandoned gas storage tower in Italy 🇮🇹

The "floor" you see here is actually the top of a piston that rises and falls with the gas volume stored below. There overpowering strong smell of hydrocarbons in here comes from the thick tar that acts as a seal around the piston. I,nside this metal tube was also hot in the 30°C degree Italian summer sunshine! 🌡️

Abandoned academic institution in Romania 🇷🇴

The bookshelves feature various history books, in addition to academic journals. Glass display cabinets in the middle of the entrance hall display the most prestigious of the books and papers.

I took this photo in 2017, when the building was still half derelict. From what I understand, it is now renovated and back in use!
