The catastrophe of #ClimateChange feels completely overwhelming most of the time. But every once and a while there are actually solutions... And I don't mean just individual solutions like "ride a bike" or "buy local." While those are not bad, they don't address the larger systemic problems.
Oh, but hey, there actually are some things you can do that starts to address the larger systemic problems. If we can learn anything from the Right, it's that it's easier to destroy things than to build them. Lot's of systemic change requires us to work together to build things. But what if we could just rally around destroying something bad? It turns out that we can have an impact by doing that.
We must destroy free parking. It's a horrible idea that's killing us. It's a subsidy from the poor to the rich. It's at the heart of a lot of the social problems the US faces, and it's just, in general, completely absurd.
